Mathematics Seminars for parents of school students in years 6 or 7.

The aim of the seminars is to give parents of students an overview of what is taught in mathematics in secondary school as well as providing the parents some basic knowledge of the topics covered, some theory and methods in solving problems. It is aimed at providing enough information for parents to be aware of what their children are being taught as well as giving them enough information to be able to assist their children in their early secondary school years. This is a full day seminar and  includes refreshments before the seminar starts, a morning tea break, lunch and afternoon tea break which are included in the price of $187 per person.  There are two morning sessions and two afternoon sessions of which the fourth session is optional.  This is to cater for parents who may have before and after school commitments.  The 9.15-9.30 start allows parents to drop their children off to school first and the optional finish at 3.00pm allows parents time to pick up their children.  The final session from 3.15 to 4.30 is to elaborate on other mathematical matters and allow more detailed explanation of topics or concerns parents may have.  For further information on dates and venues telephone 0417 552 540
