Quality Control Technician

A leading and reputable wholesaler dealing in ladies fashion is on the lookout for an experienced quality control technician to join their team. You will work closely with the design and production team in preparation of garment orders, essentially seeing garments through to delivery. Your major responsibilities will include: •Create, develop and compile specifications •Create technical drawings (hand & computer) •Garment measuring and construction for new styles •Manage production fittings and all stages of sampling process •Quality control inspection and approval in relation to sizing, fits, make and fabric quality. •QC all approval and shipment samples •Prepare and organize pre-shipment samples •Liaising with overseas suppliers regarding fitting, alterations and constructions •Liaise with overseas QA departments regarding garment specifications •Instructions to suppliers on all matters relating to patterns and fits. •Attending fit sessions with the client and following through the changes. •Managing and improving quality control process To be considered for this role, you must have: •Good knowledge and experience in garment construction •Good understanding of quality control of garments and patternmaking •A keen eye for detail and ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines •The capability to deal with planning, checking, follow-up, monitoring and reporting activities of quality assurance •Good written and verbal communications skills •The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
