Senior Buyer

A leading and reputable wholesaler dealing in ladies fashion is on the lookout for an experienced Buyer to join their team in expanding womenswear range. As a focused individual, the candidate will possess strong commercial awareness. You should have the ability to manage multiple task, have good presentation skills and have high level of resilience and tenacity to achieve corporate business objectives. Key responsibilities: • Identify product shortages, long term delivery issues • Liaise with the pricing team to improve margins • Identify overstocked and slow moving lines • Ensure purchase system records are accurate and maintained • Budget Maintenance/Target • Generate cost reductions on an annual basis whilst maintaining high quality and service levels • Generate periodic reports to Senior Management outlining key purchasing issue’s internally within the supplier base • Post Seasonal Analysis • Work across departmental and business partnership boundaries to develop long term solutions for company requirements • Any other duties that are required from time to time in line with business requirements • Local market analysis and awareness of competitors The applicant should be available to interview and start at this position ASAP.
